Assessment Fees and Timeline

Psychological and psychoeducational assessments are comprehensive evaluations that involve several stages, including interviews, testing sessions, scoring and interpretation of results, report preparation, and a feedback meeting to review findings and recommendations.

Most full psychoeducational assessments require approximately 10–12 hours of professional time.

This process typically includes:

  • Initial consultation and background review
  • Testing sessions
  • Scoring and interpretation of assessment results
  • Preparation of a comprehensive written report
  • Feedback session to review results and recommendations

Gifted assessments typically involve cognitive testing only and therefore require significantly less time, often reducing the total service time by 50% or more.

Fees are billed at an hourly rate in accordance with the fee schedule set by the Psychologists Association of Alberta (PAA). Most insurance plans cover at least a portion of the fees, and direct billing is available to most insurance companies.

Note: Bobbi-Jo is also registered in British Columbia and is offering assessment services in the Kootenay region.

Families are welcome to contact the clinic if they have questions about the assessment process, fees, or insurance coverage.
